Supporters of Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama have shifted the focus of their nascent movement, which they call the “flower revolution”, by sending flowers to the National Police headquarters in South Jakarta to support the police in taking firm action against intolerant and radical groups.
As the number of floral arrangements and displays sent to Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and his deputy Djarot Saiful Hidayat had risen to more than 2,000 as of Thursday noon, the City Administration decided to relocate some of them to the National Monument (Monas) area in Central Jakarta.
