PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PLN, aims to take part in power plant tenders as part of its support of the government’s target to operate 35,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity by 2019.
Coordinating Maritime Minister Luhut Pandjaitan said on Monday that the government would likely prefer to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) to fuel power plants in several locations, because the domestic prices of the commodity is higher than the price offered by Singapore.
