View all search resultsThe Jakarta administration’s policy to close Jl. Jatibaru Raya near Tanah Abang Market in Central Jakarta has made traffic congestion worse in the area. Congestion has increased by 60 percent in the past month, a police report revealed on Friday.
The Central Jakarta Transportation Agency plans to temporarily close Jl. Siantar to allow the construction of an overpass connecting the two buildings belonging to city-owned Tarakan General Hospital (RSUD Tarakan) on both sides of the road in the municipality.
The busy street of Jl. Fatmawati will not be closed entirely for the next six months during the construction of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system starting Feb. 4, as 3-meter-wide spaces on both the right and left sides of the road will remain open, an executive has confirmed.
