View all search resultsVideo conferencing provider Zoom plans to strengthen encryption of video calls hosted by paying clients and institutions such as schools, but not by users of its free consumer accounts, a company official said on Friday.
Video conferencing service Zoom is urging users to update to the latest version – 5.0 – as it plans to enable GCM (Galois/Counter Mode) encryption, and after May 30, users on older versions will be required to upgrade before being allowed to join meetings.
Video conferencing provider Zoom said on Thursday it had mistakenly published a blog last week that put its daily users at 300 million people when the figure instead referred to the number of meeting participants.
