hoosing strategically located accommodations in Bandung, a popular tourist destination in West Java that is usually congested by traffic during the weekends and holiday seasons, would be wise for vacationers.
Opened in January, Four Points by Sheraton Bandung is located on Jl. Juanda, about five or 10 minutes from the toll gate or roughly 20 minutes from Husein Sastranegara International Airport. It stands in front of the Dago Plaza shopping mall and is close to Jl. Riau, which is known for being lined with factory outlets.

Standing 12 stories high and adorned with a Dutch vintage style, the 162-room property targets business travelers, with guests mostly coming from Jakarta.
“It’s quite rare for a newly opened hotel in Indonesia to reach 50 percent of average occupancy in the first year,” the hotel's general manager Putu Aryantho recently told The Jakarta Post, adding that it had started to make a profit in the opening month.
The Saffron Restaurant, just off the lobby, has all-day dining and has become a popular subject of photographs posting to Instagram because of its minimalist interior and black and white tiles.
Putu said the restaurant, which offers brunch for Rp 188,000 (US$14), was usually filled with no less than 200 people on Wednesdays as it offers 'Woman on Wednesday’ promotion. “[The place] is very popular as a gathering venue, like an arisan."

Rooms in Four Points are divided into five categories, from classic to premiere suites. They all have a 42-inch LED TV, iHome alarm clock, USB plugs, complimentary Wi-Fi and an ironing board. With starting rates of Rp 1,129,160 per night, the mainly white-painted spaces lack soundproofing.
The hotel also offers a bar, 24-hour fitness facilities, a grand ballroom, eight meeting rooms and a rooftop lounge where visitors can enjoy local beer or wine with Bandung’s night sky as the backdrop.
For those planning to spend the year-end holiday in Bandung, the four-star property offers several promotions, including a two-night stay package that includes a gala dinner with entertainment by Java Jive and breakfast for two at the price of Rp 4,888,000++. (kes)
