Frozen dew in the area recently attracted an even bigger crowd to attend this year's Dieng Culture Festival.
he Dieng Culture Festival is set to return from Aug. 3 to 5 in Wonosobo, Central Java, with a series of activities, from jazz entertainment to its traditional hair-cutting ritual.
According to Central Java Tourism Agency head Urip Sihabudin, frozen dew in the Dieng area recently attracted an even bigger crowd to attend the festival.
"Tickets to one of the festival's events, Jazz Atas Awan [Jazz Above the Clouds] have sold out," said Urip as quoted by kompas.com on Thursday.
In addition to Jazz Atas Awan, other activities prepared for the festival are cultural discussions, a Dieng opera performance, traditional dance performances, a lantern show, a cultural parade, a dreadlocks-cutting ritual, a tumpeng (cone-shaped rice dish) festival and a sheep festival.
