Opened in 2017, Museum Macan is Indonesia’s only representative on the list. Other places recognized by the magazine are the Golden Bridge in Vietnam, the Tianjin Binhai Library in China, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island in the Maldives and Treehotel in Sweden.
The magazine requested its editors, correspondents and experts to propose nominations of places before publishing the list last Thursday. The evaluation was based on several aspects, which include originality and sustainability.
Consisting of places from six continents and 48 countries, the list is divided into three categories: To Visit, To Stay and To Eat & Drink.
Museum Macan is currently showcasing "Yayoi Kusama: Life is the Heart of a Rainbow" in an exhibition that will run until Sept. 9. (wir/kes)
