As the Idul Fitri holidays approach, national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia has decreased the ticket prices for its Jakarta-Pangkal pinang route.
The airline's branch manager in Pangkal Pinang in the Bangka Belitung Islands province, Solpa Puji Harsagi, told Antara on Tuesday that the move was a response to the issuance of Transportation Ministry Regulation No. 109/2019 on upper limit fare (TBA) alteration. Hence, the carrier's Jakarta-Pangkal Pinang ticket price is now Rp 1,216,300 (US$84), about 13 percent lower than the previous fare of Rp 1.4 million.
Meanwhile, for the Pangkal Pinang-Jakarta route, the flight is now priced at Rp 1,131,300. Previously it was Rp 1,315,000.
"Generally the decrease is about 15 percent, whereas the TBA is Rp 983,000," said Solpa.
