The museum collection is divided into 10 different categories.
People visiting Ambon in Maluku may consider exploring the Siwalima Museum, which boasts 5,347 historical artifacts.
According to the museum head, Jean Saiya, the collection was divided into 10 different categories, namely geology, biology, ethnography, archaeology, history, numismatics, philology, ceramics, technology and fine arts. Each artifact comes from a different time and some can no longer be touched because of their fragility.

As reported by Antara news agency, most of the artifacts in the collection were donated by various parties, including the Deep Ocean Research Center that presented it a dead shark preserved in an aquarium.
Because of limited space, the museum only has two permanent exhibition spaces, namely for ethnography and history, and one temporary exhibition space.
"Most of the collection is related to ethnography, which has about 2,000 items," she added. (nic/kes)
