Bali is welcoming a new upscale hotel with the opening of the Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road on Thursday.
Situated near the famous Kuta Beach, about a 20-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport, the 227-room hotel is the fourth Fairfield by Marriott property to open in Indonesia.
“The mid-tier segment is very important for Marriott’s development in Indonesia as we are seeing significant demand. The opening of this property in Bali will continue to strengthen our offerings for this particular sector in this dynamic market,” said Ramesh Jackson, the company's vice president for the Indonesian market.

Other than a contemporary design, the hotel also boasts an ecofriendly initiative as it is "completely free of plastic bottles", according to a statement.
In a bid to attract business travelers, the property also offers a co-working space called Ni Wayan, in addition to four meeting rooms that can each accommodate up to 150 people.
The United States-based Marriott International boasts a portfolio of more than 6,900 properties divided into 30 hotel brands spanning 130 countries and territories. Fairfield by Marriott itself currently has more than 1,000 properties around the world. (kes)
