According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, at least 68 countries have banned entry to foreigners from coronavirus-hit countries like Indonesia.
n a bid to slow down the spread of COVID-19, many countries have closed their borders to non-citizens, especially foreigners coming from countries hit by the virus.
As of Friday, up to 166 countries and territories around the world have recorded confirmed cases of COVID-19, including Indonesia. Hence, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has called on Indonesian passport holders to avoid traveling abroad unless strictly necessary. Meanwhile, those currently visiting another country are advised to return immediately before they experience difficulty finding flights home.

According to the ministry's Instagram account, Safe Travel, which provides the latest updates for Indonesians traveling abroad, at least 68 countries have banned entry to foreigners from coronavirus-hit countries like Indonesia. (gis/kes)
