Amanjiwo, a five-star hotel with views of Borobudur Temple, is set to reopen on June 19.
In addition to standalone suites, the property will offer fitness excursions and wellness activities, including cycle rides and treks to the nearby Menoreh Hills, Mount Sindoro and Mount Sumbing, which will conclude at the 8th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site in Magelang, Central Java.
Guests will also be given the opportunity to tour the region's historic and cultural highlights with the help of Amanjiwo's resident anthropologist, Patrick Vanhoebrouck.
Founded in 1988, luxury hotel brand Aman has gradually been reopening its properties across the globe since May.
Amanjiwo will be the first Aman hotel to reopen in Indonesia – on June 19 – followed by Amandari, Amankila and Aman Villas in Nusa Dua, Bali, on July 1 and Amanwana in Moyo Island, West Nusa Tenggara, on Aug. 1. (kes)
