he 2022 Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival (BNIJJF2022), themed “Blooming Season”, runs from May 27 to 29 at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

To get the nation’s music lovers in gear for the music extravaganza, which is returning as an in-person event after a yearlong hiatus, organizer PT Java Festival Production is also holding the pre-event BNI Java Jazz On The Move (JJOTM) on three dates at three separate venues in the capital this month: on April 23 at Lippo Mall Kemang, South Jakarta, on April 24 at Mall of Indonesia in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, and on 30 April at Lippo Mall Puri in Puri Indah, West Jakarta.

JJOTM features several prominent musicians, including Mikha Angelo and Teddy Adhitya.

Mikha expressed his appreciation for BNI’s support in helping to revive the Java Jazz Festival, which was last held in 2020, just before the start of pandemic-related restrictions.

"Thank you to BNI. I'm glad this is my first show, but this is just the intro. I’ll also be there at the BNI Java Jazz Festival, which will hopefully be even cooler. I'm happy because music can help connect us all," he said on Saturday.

Teddy was also enthusiastic about the festival’s return. “Finally, here is another BNI Java Jazz Festival. I’m so excited. We’re not doing huge stuff today so we can go all out at the BNI Java Jazz Festival,” he said.
