T

he government has formed a task force to accelerate the energy transition and green economy development in the country as part of its effort to achieve its targets in both areas as per the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

The task force is based on Coordinating Economic Minister Decree No. 141/2025 shared with The Jakarta Post on Monday, which aims to align policies, expedite business licensing and improve intra-ministerial, institutional and regional coordination to tackle development obstacles.

The decree was signed on March 17.

The task force is comprised of directors, executives, working groups and supervisors.

Coordinating Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto leads the task force as head of directors with Coordinating Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono as the deputy head.

The state secretary, home minister, foreign minister, finance minister and higher education, science and technology minister have been appointed as directors of the task force.
