T Putra Mandiri Jembar Tbk (PMJS) has secured a procurement contract worth Rp 10.84 trillion through its subsidiary PT Dipo Internasional Pahala Otomotif (DIPO) to supply thousands of commercial vehicles for village cooperatives.
The contract covers the provision of 20,600 six-wheel trucks for state-owned PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara (APN), which runs the government’s Red and White Cooperatives program to facilitate regional development.
The agreement became effective on Monday after all prerequisites were fulfilled, including the issuance of a bank guarantee and an upfront payment of Rp 2.84 trillion from APN.
PMJS president director Ie Putra said DIPO, acting as an authorized dealer appointed by PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors under a master contract, would be responsible not only for delivering the vehicles according to agreed specifications but also for providing after-sales services.
“The execution of the Contract between DIPO and APN has a positive impact on DIPO's operational activities […] which in turn will increase the financial condition of the Company,” he wrote in a disclosure statement to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday.
DIPO operates as an authorized dealer network for Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz and Nissan vehicles across the country and has in recent years diversified into vehicle-related services, including rentals and spare parts.
The procurement forms part of a much larger vehicle acquisition plan by APN, which previously announced plans to import up to 160,000 pickup trucks for the cooperatives program.
