urabaya-based interior design firm KEZIAKARIN Studio has received three awards at the 2023 Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) Awards.
Held biennially, the prestigious APSDA Awards celebrate Asia-Pacific’s burgeoning design scene, showcasing some of the best work of the region’s up-and-coming and established architects and interior designers.
At the 2023 APSDA Awards gala dinner in Kuala Lumpur on Oct. 28, KEZIAKARIN Studio received the Gold Award in the “Projects of the Year - Exhibition” category for the Louis Vuitton Savoir Faire Jakarta 2021 at The Plaza Office Tower, as well as the Bronze Award in the “Projects of the Year - Residential” category for a private residence in Jakarta.
The “Project of The Year” category honors originality, functionality, space planning and aesthetics, with winning projects considered capable of pushing the boundaries of the imagination while still integrating practicality and innovation, as well as paying attention to the impact on those who experience them.
In addition, the firm’s founder, Kezia Karin, was named Young Designer of the Year in the “Personality of the Year” category, recognized for her extraordinary contributions, vision and commitment to maintaining the highest design quality, as well as inspiring other designers to new heights of creativity and professionalism.
In a statement, Karin expressed her excitement at receiving the three awards.
"This recognition not only validates our hard work and dedication but also places Indonesia on the global stage of interior design. We are confident that by continuing to increase our presence at the international level, we will be able to participate in large-scale projects at a global level, showcasing our unique capabilities and perspectives," she said.
KEZIAKARIN Studio's portfolio is characterized by a bold design approach that maintains elegance, sophistication and a balanced harmony between functionality and form. The studio's team of designers work closely with clients, from luxury residences to the hotel industry and corporate offices, to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also reflect their individual style and preferences.
In addition to the APSDA Awards, KEZIAKARIN Studio's work has been recognized with a number of prestigious awards, including the 2022 Asia-Pacific Property Awards for the Residential Interior Apartment Indonesia category for the studio’s work with Casa Domaine.
