ndonesia Marine & Offshore Expo (IMOX) 2024, an international maritime and offshore exhibition, is set to return to Indonesia. The seventh edition of the exhibition will be held at the Radisson Golf and Convention Centre, Batam, from July 31 to Aug. 2.
This event aims to be a meeting place for over 3,000 industry professionals to explore new maritime, offshore, oil and gas, and shipping opportunities in Indonesia. Visitors can build business relationships, share information and find new partners to expand their networks in Indonesia's rapidly growing maritime industry.
The opening ceremony of IMOX 2024 will be attended by Muhammad Rudi, chairman of the Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority (BP Batam), Jadi Rajagukguk, chairman of the Batam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Batam) and Kenny Yong, CEO of Fireworks Trade Media Group. Representatives from Immigration and Customs will also be present, providing participants and visitors with valuable information.
The exhibition will feature 115 exhibitors, with the number still growing. So far, there are 45 local companies and 70 foreign companies from various countries including Singapore, China, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea and Canada.
The event will include conferences, seminars and workshops. The first day will focus on inclusive innovation in Indonesia's maritime development, while the second day will focus on Indonesian maritime technology. The final day will feature workshops with Pertamina Maritime Training Center and Offshore Technology Institute.
Batam is once again chosen to host IMOX 2024 due to its strategic location on the busy international trade route, the Strait of Malacca. Additionally, Batam is the largest shipbuilding industry hub in Indonesia, with over 50 percent about 130 out of 250 shipyard companies in Indonesia located in Batam.
IMOX 2024 is an opportunity for shipyard companies to increase their market share, network and stay informed about the latest technologies, which is crucial for keeping Indonesian shipyards competitive globally.
