ormer Papua governor and graft convict Lukas Enembe passed away on Tuesday while receiving treatment at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital (RSPAD) in Jakarta.

RSPAD chief Lt. Gen. Albertus Budi Sulistya confirmed Lukas’ death to the press on the same day. He was 56.

Lukas’ lawyers said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon that his remains would be transported to Jayapura, Papua, early on Wednesday morning.
