AMIN team assistant coach Jazilul Fawaid questioned a statement from the Ganjar-Mahfud team that their candidates would win the presidential election after the recent electability survey results.
Jazilul Fawaid, assistant coach of the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) campaign team, questioned the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD National Winning Team’s (TPN) statement that it is better to win in the actual election than in surveys.
"If the TPN says [Ganjar-Mahfud] will win, there must be reasons why they win,” Jazilul said in Malang, East Java, on Monday, as quoted by the detik.com news portal.
“How do you want to win when [the survey results] are dropping? How do they win when their theme is unclear? Is it about change, or continuation? How do they want to win if their supporters have already left them?"
According to Jazilul, running mates and their campaign teams must have solid responses to the issues at hand if they want to win the election, and the AMIN pair already had a strong concept of this since the beginning.
Jazilul also said that the survey institution results were final and could not be changed, adding that AMIN’s electability indicated an upward trend.
Recently, three survey institutions, Indikator Politik Indonesia, Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and Denny JA Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI), have released the electability results of three candidate pairs in the upcoming presidential election.
From the results, two of the three surveys showed that AMIN's popularity had overtaken that of Ganjar-Mahfud.
