Bali Police have identified two Brazilian nationals as suspects in the fatal stabbing of a Dutch tourist in North Kuta last week.
Bali Police’s General Crime Director Sr. Comr. I Gede Adhi Mulyawarman said the suspects, 35-year-old Darlan Bruno Lima Sanandana and 28-year-old Kalyl Hyorran, were identified through CCTV footage, GPS data and witness statements.
“We believe they have fled Bali for another country. We will coordinate with Interpol to issue red notices for both suspects,” he said over the weekend.
Gede said the two suspects could face premeditated murder charges, which carry a maximum sentence of death if convicted.
He added that Bali Police are committed to taking swift and firm action against crimes involving foreign nationals to ensure public safety and maintain order across the island.
“We also urge the public to report without hesitation any criminal incidents or suspicious activities involving foreign nationals to the nearest police authorities,” he said.
