Big Bad Wolf to hold online book sale in December

Online book bazaar Big Bad Wolf will mark its return from Dec. 1 to 7 on its official store on e-commerce platform Tokopedia.
The online sale will offer more books with discounts of up to 90 percent.
Big Bad Wolf will also offer programs such as Midnight Flash Sale, Gift with Purchase, Special Bundle during live shopping on Tokopedia Play, additional discounts of up to 10 percent for customers of Bank Central Asia (BCA) and free delivery.
Big Bad Wolf Indonesia president director Hadriani Uli TI Silalahi said the online book bazaar was designed to improve Indonesians’ reading habits from a young age. “We like to provide easy access for people to get good reading materials to improve literacy,” Hadriani said in a statement.
Tokopedia's assistant vice president of business Jessica Stephanie Jap said the COVID-19 pandemic had encouraged people to read books at home. “On Tokopedia, books about self-help, education and religion, as well as fiction are the most popular items,” Jessica said.
Launched in 2009 in Malaysia, Big Bad Wolf made its debut in Indonesia in 2016. Big Bad Wolf’s first online book sale on Tokopedia, which took place from April to May, was received warmly by the public with the most popular categories being children’s books, novels and hobby books. (wir/wng)
