Tata Motors launches spare part catalog, customer care program

ata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI) launched on Thursday its E-Cats online catalog system and A-D-A customer care program to provide better services to its customers with guaranteed same-day order delivery.

The E-Cats online catalog system allows TMDI'€™s sales, service and spare parts (3S) dealers the ability to check stock availability, check places, place orders and understand the details of Tata Motors genuine parts.

Meanwhile A-D-A, which stands for Availability, highly Durable products and Affordable prices, is a program of the TMDI Customer Care division, which is committed to providing the best experience to customers for spare part transactions with guaranteed availability, durability and affordable prices.

'€œA-D-A is TMDI'€™s commitment to our Indonesian customers. The same commitment has been tested and proven in Tata Motors markets across the globe,'€ TMDI president director Biswadev Sengupta said in a media release.

'€œOn the other hand, E-CATS guarantees the best service for both dealers and customers.'€

TMDI is a fully owned subsidiary of India'€™s largest global automotive company Tata Motors Ltd and an authorized agent in Indonesia.

All TMDI'€™s 3S dealers and Tata Certified Workshops (TCW) operating in nine major Indonesian cities have 600 types of parts in sufficient quantities. The workshops are equipped with 80 special tools to support vehicle service and maintenance. 

Tata Parts in Cibitung, West Java, has over 8,000 types of parts, from the smaller parts to body parts. A new product will not be launched in Indonesia until there is sufficient quantity of parts stocked locally. 

The same-day order delivery to all TMDI'€™s 3S dealers is made possible through a quick, efficient and punctual spare-part distribution channel integrated in an online system. The system is supported by TMDI'€™s partnership with global logistics firm TOLL Logistics and local logistics companies such as JNE, Panda and Scan Global.

Biswadev also said that Tata Motors genuine parts were of Tata Motors'€™ global standard with the highest grade and quality.

'€œOur spare parts are the parts that we put as OE fitment in our vehicles. We don'€™t offer any lower grades as spare parts,'€ he said.

Biswadev added that while all genuine parts were imported from India, some accessories were being developed in Indonesia with local accessories producers. (nvn)
