a href="https://thejakartapost.com/tag/one-championship" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ONE Championship star Eko Roni Saputra will be back in the Circle on Oct. 21 to face off Thai-sensation Yodkaikaew Fairtex in flyweight mixed martial arts action.

The pair are slated to do battle on the lead card of ONE 162: Zhang vs. Di Bella, which will go down live from the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

Saputra has performed incredibly well throughout his tenure at the Singapore-based organization, amassing a 6-1 record with an extraordinary 100 percent finishing rate.

Many dangerous athletes have fallen victim to the multiple-time Indonesian National Wrestling Champion's knockout power and savvy skills on the canvas, and here we break down his three best performances inside the Circle so far.

Ten seconds to drop Liu Peng Shuai

Saputra needed less than a dozen seconds to finish Chinese-warrior Liu Peng Shuai in their battle at ONE: BATTLEGROUND II in August 2021.

After the two men touched gloves and the action got underway, Liu instantly stepped forward with an aggressive one-two combination. Those punches failed to find their mark, allowing Saputra to spot a gap and load up a heavy right hook.

The powerful punch connected and instantly sent his opponent to the mat, where he stayed. The Indonesian star earned the KO victory, which still stands as one of the fastest in the promotion’s history.

A fast finish of Murugan Silvarajoo

The 31-year-old star met Murugan Silvarajoo at ONE: REIGN OF DYNASTIES in October 2020 and wasted no time finding a finish.

Saputra forced his Malaysian foe onto his back soon after the opening bell and began working his stellar submission skills.

He trapped “Wolverine’s” arm between his calf and thigh in a painful keylock submission that eventually forced the tap, handing Saputra his second submission win inside the Circle.

Submitting Chan Rothana with ease

In his most recent outing in ONE, Saputra needed little more than a minute and a half to submit Cambodian-veteran Chan Rothana.

The pair met at ONE: LIGHTS OUT this past March, and the Evolve MMA athlete showcased his well-rounded skill set right from the opening bell by battering Rothana with punches before shooting for a takedown.

When he got his opponent, Saputra quickly took his back and locked in a painful rear-naked choke. Rothana had no choice but to tap, and the Indonesian star scored his sixth win in a row.

Don’t miss Saputra’s return to the Circle at ONE 162: Zhang vs. Di Bella on Oct. 21, live from the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.
