View all search resultsA government policy to impose higher import tariffs on 1,147 consumer goods has been unable to significantly discourage importers, with imports decreasing by less than 10 percent since the rule was implemented in October.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said on Tuesday the Finance Ministry, together with the Industry Ministry and Trade Ministry, would team up to identify more than 500 imported consumer goods that could be replaced by local substitutes.
Processed food giant Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur (ICBP) booked a consolidated net sales growth of 4.5 percent in the first quarter of this year, an increase to Rp 9.88 trillion (US$702.9 million) from Rp 9.46 trillion in the same period of 2017.
