View all search resultsContainer traffic at Indonesia’s biggest and busiest seaport, Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta, declined 5.13 percent year-on-year from January to February, but the port operator expects improvements with factories in China reopening.
State-owned Indonesia Port Corporation II is prohibiting crew members of all foreign vessels docking at Jakarta’s Tanjung Priok Priok Port from getting off their ships as part of the efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in the country.
The autoterminal will be the first part of the port to be operational, opening in September. The port is located about 70 kilometers from the Karawang industrial estate in West Java, where many Japanese companies have built factories.
Don’t you realize, Pak? Crime is not necessarily caused by poverty. Take a look at those corrupt [officials]. They are not our people, they are not from our place [Tanjung Priok],” one protester said
