A local health tech start-up has raised US$2.6 million during its seed round and plans to use the money to develop the platform's personal health management features.
irka, a personal health management platform, has raised US$2.6 million in seed funding coled by AC Ventures and Wavemaker Partners that also involved several angel investors.
Other investors that participated in the seed round include Sequoia, Goodwater Capital and singer and entrepreneur Maudy Ayunda.
Sirka cofounder and CEO Rifanditto Adhikara said the capital would be used to develop the platform’s features to prevent chronic diseases and help users maintain a healthy weight, including the at-home evaluation, personalized action plan and self-monitoring features.
“We believe in the power of technology, science and information to simplify people’s [personal health journey],” Rifanditto said in a statement on Thursday.
The statement also quoted Maudy as saying, “I [support Sirka’s] vision in providing a simple, convenient, and low-cost customized approach for every Indonesian who needs it.”
“We [support] Sirka’s approach in leveraging technology to bring functional wellbeing within reach for millions of people,” Adrian Li, the founder and managing partner of AC Ventures, also said in the same statement.
