DENPASAR: Bali Asian Beach Games director Rita Subowo said that members of the Olympics Council of Asia (OCA) had agreed during the General Assembly that every Asian Beach Games' flame would be taken form Mrapen geological site near Semarang, Central Java.

"Representatives from the 45 members gave their acclamtion on the issue," Rita told reporters on the sidelines of pencak silat Wednesday.

"Before every Asian Beach Games, the National Olympic Committee of

Indonesia will light the flame from Mrapen and bring it to Garuda Wisnu Kencana. In turn, Bali provincial government will, in a torch relay ceremony, hand over the flame to host country," she.

Muscat, Oman, will host the next edition of the biennial Asian Beach Games in 2010. --JP
