AKARTA: Marcello 'Ello' Tahitoe is set to release a new single next month that will feature more rock elements.

'I'm just being myself by playing rock music,' the 31-year-old singer said, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

In his previous three albums, Ello, who is famous for the single 'Pergi Untuk Kembali' (Leave to Come Back), mostly sang pop and R&B songs ' something for which he makes no apologies.

'It's not fair if I regret it,' Ello said. 'I'm always grateful and I always think of it as part of my development process. But if I can choose, I prefer rock now.'

Ello's new single will be included in his new album, which is slated for release in February. He says he collaborate with several local rock musicians, including Magi, the drummer of rock band /rif.
