ndia and Indonesia concluded a week-long India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (Ind-Indo Corpat) with farewell ceremonies over three days that ended on Friday.
The Indian Navy dispatched the INS Kulish missile corvette and a Dornier Do-228 maritime patrol aircraft to Medan for the event.
The Indian consul general in Medan, North Sumatra, Shalia Shah, hosted the start of the closing ceremony on Wednesday, followed by the Indian Navy on Thursday and the Indonesian Navy on Friday.
The 31st coordinated patrol took place from May 26 to June 2 with an opening ceremony on May 24 and 25 in Port Blair, the capital of the Indian union territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Both countries have been conducting coordinated patrols since 2002 along the international maritime border, securing the commercial lane for international trade and shipping.
The Indian delegation was led by Cdre. Ashutosh Ridhokar, commander of the Naval Component of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, while the Indonesian delegation was led by Cdre. David Santoso, commander of the Maritime Security Task Force of the 1st Fleet.
The Indian delegation returned home on Saturday.
