View all search resultsThree hundred Indonesians previously detained in Malaysia’s immigration depots in Johor Bahru have been returned home, the Foreign Ministry in Jakarta has announced, calling on people to comply with local regulations as arrests of Indonesians in the neighboring country continue.
The consulate general in Johor Bahru has helped facilitate the return of over 300 Indonesians, mostly migrant workers, in three batches this year, with the latest group touching home soil on Aug. 9, almost exactly a week before Independence Day.
