'Emilia Perez,' 'The Brutalist' win at diverse Golden Globes
French director Jacques Audiard's Mexico-set Emilia Perez took four prizes, including best comedy or musical film, while The Brutalist was named best drama and also picked up best actor for Adrien Brody, who plays a Hungarian Holocaust survivor.

Netflix's 'Mank' tops Globes noms as female directors break through
Netflix's "Mank," a black-and-white drama that dives into Hollywood's Golden Age with the making of "Citizen Kane," on February 3, 2021 topped the nominations for the pandemic-delayed Golden Globes, as female directors finally broke through with multiple nods. "Mank" earned six nods, including best drama, followed by fellow Netflix movie "The Trial of the Chicago 7" on five, in an announcement that offered an important, early glimpse into the movies leading this year's unique awards season.

Golden Globe TV audience slightly lower, but bucks awards show trend
The US television audience for the 2019 Golden Globe awards fell about 2 percent, but a slew of popular movies and celebrities among the nominees helped the ceremony buck a trend that has seen much steeper declines for big entertainment events.
