The United Nations, the US State Department and France last week denounced the rejection of the appeals of a veteran activist and a former lawmaker, a decision that paves the way for the country's first executions in decades.
A coalition of human rights activists condemned on Monday incidents of intimidation against the family of human rights lawyer Veronica Koman and urged a thorough police investigation after an explosive package was sent to her parents' home.
"We're expecting lots of people to come and join us in the streets, and not only youth but also adults supporting youth, and adults that want climate action,” said activist Isabelle Axelsson, 20, with the youth movement Fridays For Future, which is organising the march, to be led by Greta Thunberg.
