Hoaxes and AI: Communications ministry dials up combating efforts ahead of 2024 election
As Indonesia draws closer to the 2024 general election, the Communications and Information Ministry has been working to anticipate a surge in hoaxes circulating on social media. In the first eight months of this year alone, the ministry has recorded up to 11,800 reports on hoaxes, including 772 related to next year’s election.
