View all search resultsHong Kong authorities arrested more than 200 people during pro-democracy protests, media reported on Monday, after a sing-along demonstration at a shopping mall spilled out on to the streets of the Chinese-ruled city.
Luthfi, whose photo clutching an Indonesian flag to his face has become an emblem of September’s student protests, was among the 1,489 people arrested during the demonstrations and among the 380 of whom being prosecuted.
According to reports received by LBH Jakarta, the relatives of 73 people arrested during the Sept. 30 protests still do not know their whereabouts, while the organization also believes 26 people arrested during the Sept. 24 and 25 protests remain in detention.
