Bengkulu Police chief Brig. Gen. M. Ghufron said 200 officers have been deployed to safeguard a coal mining site belonging to PT Citra Buana Selaras in Central Bengkulu following rioting on Saturday that involved locals. Nine locals suffered gunshot wounds and a police officer was wounded by a machete.
