Marlisa Wareman has transformed her experience from living in the Mentawai Islands into creative solutions for running Dierenpark Taman Indonesia, the first and only Indonesian zoological park in the Netherlands, where people can visit the archipelago without ever boarding a plane.
Besides watching traditional dances from all around Indonesia, visitors can enjoy exhibitions of oil paintings, bamboo handicrafts, leaf paintings and old relics displayed in pavilions around the Istora Senayan area for free.
The arts are badawang, bajidoran, blenderan, benjang, cingcowong, domyak, kawin cai, panjang jimat kasepuhan Cirebon, reak dogdog, seren taun Cigugur, seren taun Banten Kidul, tari trebang randu kintir dance, and topeng banjet.
