The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has dedicated an information website for those searching for family members lost in the massive Japan earthquake and tsunami that occurred on Friday.
The website, linked to the FamilyLinks website run by the ICRC, aims to “help restore contact between separated family members.”
“You will also find regular new updates on our website about what we are doing in Japan. As the situation evolves, our field teams will report back on what they have seen and what they are doing,” the ICRC said on its webpage.
The webpage also contained instructions on how people could learn the whereabouts of their missing relatives through the service.
“Please send us an e-mail with your name and the details of your request,” the ICRC wrote.

I’m looking for my two brothers living in Miyamato Cho Koshigay City. I can’t reach them since the earthquake. Their names are Mamadou Moustapha Gueye, who was born in 1978, and Cheikh Ahmed Tidiane Gueye, born in 1975. Mamadou Moustapha is married to a Japanese woman. They have two beautiful children. I’m really worried. I love them very much.

We are looking for my nephew, Joey Beaudette, about 24 years old, six feet tall, 175 lbs. Last known to be OK and near Sendai on his way to check on his girlfriend, Yuu Karino, after the quake but before the tsunami. I have not heard anything since then.

I haven’t heard from them since. I don’t know which airport or airline. Can anyone locate them?
