The four deputies comprise Fadli Zon of Gerindra, Fahri Hamzah of the Prosperous Justice Party, Taufik Kurniawan of the National Mandate Party and Agus Hermanto of the Democratic Party.

'I swear that I will hold this responsibility as the speaker/deputy speaker of the House of Representatives as well as possible and as fair as possible based on Pancasila and UUD1945 [the 1945 Constitution],' Setya, along with his four deputies, said, repeating the vow after Hatta, as quoted by kompas.com.

Setya, Fadli, Fahri and Taufik belong to the Red-and-White Coalition formed by Prabowo Subianto, who lost the July 9 presidential election to president-elect Joko Widodo from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P).

The PDI-P was the winner in the April 9 legislative election. Out of a total of 124.9 million valid votes nationwide, the PDI-P secured 18.95 percent. Golkar came in second with 14.75 percent and Gerindra third with 11.81 percent.

Head of the executive board of the PDI-P, Puan Maharani, said that she was dissappointed with the result of the plenary session because the voice of her party, which won the legislative election, was not listened to.
