The Constitutional Law Society (CLS), the student community that organized the discussion, said the event, scheduled for Friday, was meant to be a response to recent public discussions about the possibility of dismissing the President for what some perceive as his inadequate handling of the COVID-19 outbreak.
A team of students from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta has won first place at the International Invention & Innovative Competition, an event initiated by Malaysian event management company MNNF Network.
“The larger family of UGM are mourning over Iwan’s passing today since he was one of the best pharmacology experts in Indonesia,” said UGM rector Panut Mulyono during the funeral on Tuesday.
The head of the UGM team that drafted the regulation, Muhadjir Darwin, said it should not have taken so long for the rector to endorse the regulation, as his team had made sure the draft corresponded with existing regulations in other universities and relevant laws.
