Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly said on Wednesday that the ministry had raised the number of prisoners that were planned to be released to 50,000 people from 30,000 in a effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Dadang Trisasongko, the secretary-general of Transparency International Indonesia (TII), said Ronny’s removal was very odd considering that Yasonna had chosen to embroil himself in the scandal, not Ronny.
