View all search resultsPublicly listed coal miner PT Adaro Energy announced on Thursday its third quarter report with a total coal production of 14.93 metric tons (mt) and sales of 15.47 mt, a 5 percent and 9 percent increase year-on-year, respectively.
PT Adaro Energy, Indonesia's second biggest coal miner, aims to increase its annual coal production by 4.2 to 8.1 percent to around 54 to 56 million tons in 2018 after enduring prolonged heavy rainfall that hampered its mining operations last year.
Publicly listed coal miner PT Adaro Energy booked a 126 percent annual increase in net profit to US$341 million in 2016 amid volatility in global coal prices, thanks to a 14 percent drop in cost of revenue to $1.84 billion.
Thailand cabinet has approved the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand's (EGAT) proposal to purchase as much as 12 percent of stake in coal miner Adaro Indonesia for US$325 million, a government spokesman said.
