The rise of agentic AI, or automous artificial intelligence systems that can make decisions and act with little to no human prompts or supervision, signals a need to revisit and rethink the practical, legal and ethical aspects of cybersecurity frameworks.
The e-commerce colossus known for its promise of quick deliveries showed off robotic arms and other high-tech warehouse tools in Silicon Valley, saying AI is not only powering innovations but accelerating how quickly they are developed by the second largest employer in the United States.
"The initiative calls for a prohibition on the development of superintelligence until the technology is reliably safe and controllable, and has public buy-in," according to an open letter published by the Future of Life Institute, a US-based NGO that campaigns against the dangers of AI.
