View all search resultsThe government has merged the country’s two state-owned airport operators into one, PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, in a bid to improve efficiency, and eventually cut logistics costs in the country, while at the same time improving profitability. After the merger the new entity is now called InJourney Airports, part of giant state-owned aviation and tourism holding company PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (InJourney).
The government appears to still be mulling over its plan to merge Pelita Air and Garuda subsidiary Citilink in a bid to increase active fleet size and push down soaring flight prices, particularly over whether to retain Pelita or Citilink as the survivng entity.
