A coproducer of The Matrix Resurrections is suing Warner Bros. alleging breach of contract over the studio's decision to release the movie on a streaming platform at the same time as it hit theatres, a report said on Monday.
Warner Bros. will release its entire 2021 slate of movies on HBO Max streaming and in theaters simultaneously, including "The Matrix 4" and "Dune", the studio announced Thursday in a landmark response to the pandemic.
With original trilogy stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss already in place, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II of "Aquaman" joining the cast, Neil Patrick Harris of everything from "A Series of Unfortunate Events to "Starship Troopers" is the latest linked with the Wachowski revival.
