A body has been found in the wreckage of a small chartered airplane that lost contact mid-flight over South Sulawesi with 10 people on board, as search and rescue teams continue efforts to locate remaining passengers and crew amid adverse weather conditions.
Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Henry Novika Chandra said the suspects are the boat’s captain, identified only as L, and a crew member, identified as M, whose alleged negligence was believed to have caused the fatal accident.
According to Malaysian officials, Keong is believed to have jumped from the Second Link Tuas–Johor Bridge, a key transport link between Malaysia and Singapore although the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
